The steps listed in the "Required Setup" section must be completed to launch the widget (i.e., use the tool).
You can complete the steps in the "Additional Setup" at any time, as launching the widget is not dependent on these steps being completed.
Note: We refer to the quoting tool as the "widget". The widget is what your customers see/use when the tool is on your website. If you choose not to add the widget to your website, you will use the Internal Quoting Tool (IQT). It's worth noting that you do not have to choose one process over another. This means your customers can use the widget on your website, and you can also use the IQT when needed.
Required Setup
The following steps can be found by going to Settings > Widget Settings > General (or by clicking each of the associated blue buttons below).
Additional Setup
Customer Authentication
Customer Authentication
Customer authentication allows you to choose when a customer is required to log in.
You can also enable the "Allow to sign in via One-time Password" feature, which provides your customers with a quick way to log in.
Upon Model Upload
Your customers will be required to log in before they can upload a part.
Upon adding a product to the cart
Your customers will be able to upload parts and see pricing. When they add parts to the cart, they will then be required to log in.
Quotation tool Settings
Quotation tool Settings
Choose how you want the quoting tool to select a machine and material.
Repeat Specs
If a customer chooses a machine and material, this will be carried over to the next part. Choose this option if you have customers who order multiple parts for the same technology and material.
Preselection (CNC Only)
If you offer CNC, the most suitable technology and material will be selected. All the unusable materials will be hidden.
Full Preselection
The most suitable technology and material will be selected. All the unusable materials will be hidden.
Product Specification Template
The Product Specification Template allows you to select which details are shown on an order.
These details are shown on the order page, quote, invoice, and packing list.

Non-CAD files
Non-CAD files
Allow customers to upload non-cad files and submit them with their order for you to review and quote manually.
Allowed file extensions
Select which file type you will allow your customers to submit. For example, .pdf. Once added, press enter, and the file extension type will be allowed.
TBD non-CAD customer message
Add a message for customers to let them know you'll be looking at the file and will get back to them in a timely manner.
Drawings
If drawings are required for non-CAD files, enable this feature.
TBD Mode
TBD Mode
TBD mode allows you to set limitations on your quoting tool. For example, if an order exceeds a certain amount, the customer will not be shown the price and will instead be asked to wait until you have reviewed the order.
TBD Label (To Be Determined)
You can change the text on the TBD label. This will only show when TBD mode is activated.
Line Item Threshold
Decide the amount you want TBD mode to be activated for each line item and a note to inform the customer.
Order Total Threshold
Decide the amount you want TBD mode to be activated for the whole order and make a note to inform the customer.
TBD Machine Quantity custom message
You can change the text on the TBD label. Due to order quantity limits, this will only show when TBD mode is activated. *These can be changed in the machine settings
Topology Recognition Settings
Topology Recognition Settings
While we do not recommend changing the standard setting, it is possible to adjust these settings to change the sensitivity of the widget when analyzing parts.
Geometry Type Detection
Increasing this number will reduce the number of cylinder features that are identified based on their x & y dimensions. 0.02 is the current default. Increasing this may result in cylindrical features not being identified.
Sanity Check for 3D Printing
During analysis, the tool checks the volume of the finished part compared to the bounding box. If the volume falls below the selected figure (0.02), the part will be identified as fragile. Decreasing this number will result in delicate parts being quoted but could cause printing issues due to fragile parts.
Sanity Check for CNC Machine
During analysis, the tool checks the volume of the finished part compared to the size of the block/bar. If the volume falls below the selected figure (0.1), the part will be identified as fragile. Decreasing this number will result in delicate parts being quoted but could cause machining issues due to fragile parts.
Complexity check threshold
All CNC parts have a complexity assigned to them during analysis. This is calculated by analyzing the surface area. The part will not be quoted if the complexity is above the selected figure (default 30). Increasing this threshold will increase the number of parts quoted but may result in highly complex parts being under-quoted.
