What Is Digital Inventory?

Digital Inventory is a feature that lets you offer pre-configured, ready-to-order items with fixed pricing – just like an e-commerce catalog. Your customers can add these items to their cart alongside their usual CAD uploads and flexible configurations.

This is perfect for repeatable jobs, standard parts, or promotional offers where the model, configuration, and price are already known.

How It Works

Each inventory item includes:

  • A 3D model or drawing

  • A set of saved configurations

  • A static price (defined by you)

From the customer’s point of view, it looks like a shop catalog – each item can be added to the cart instantly.

Key Capabilities for Shop Owners

  • Convert Line Items to Inventory
Turn any past order or line item into an inventory item with one click.
This saves time – each item automatically includes its model, configurations, and pricing setup.

  • Edit Pricing and Rules
    You can adjust

    • Price per item

    • One-off or batch pricing

    • Batch capacity

    • Priority costs

    • Discounts and default quantity

  • Control Visibility
Save items for internal use, make them public, or assign them to specific organizations. Assigned items are only visible to users from those organizations.

  • Customer Experience
End-users see a clear catalog of available items:

    • They can change the quantity (defaults to your preset value).

    • Pricing updates automatically if they modify the configuration.

    • They can still upload or select custom CAD files as usual.

  • Customization Options
The DigiFabster Team can tailor the look and placement of buttons or other catalog elements to match your website and workflow.
