The widget refers to the e-commerce (customer-facing) tool. When it comes to adding the widget to your website, you have a few options.
Embedded iFrame
To add the widget to your website, navigate to the “</> Install widget” page, copy the code under the "Embedded Ifame" section, and paste this code into the backend of your website.
NOTE: After installing the iframe, you can adjust its height relative to the screen and the content displayed at each step of the widget. To do this, please follow the instructions provided HERE.
Floating Button
To add the floating button to your website, navigate to the “</> Install widget” page, copy the code under the "Floating Button" section, and paste this code into the backend of your website.
Custom Domain
Growth and Enterprise plan customers have the option to not use the iframe or floating button, and instead use a subdomain. Subdomains are also commonly used to separate a section of a website from the main site. For example, quote.yourwebsite.com. This subdomain would direct your customers to a page of your website where they can find the quoting tool.
If you prefer to use a subdomain, provide our support team with your dedicated subdomain URL. Setting up a subdomain will take our team up to one (1) week to complete.
After Installation - Marketing Your Instant Quoting Tool
Once the widget is on your website, it’s important to start directing traffic to your site and the tool. This also requires you to educate your customers on your new instant quoting tool. Check out the links below for a free resource and an example of how one of our customers successfully educates their customers.
